NEREIDA: the story behind nereids and latest collection

You could say, in a way, greek mythology has always influenced how we appreciate beauty. From the unparalleled beauty of Aphrodite to the vast love stories/tragedies we find in every corner of it.
The Nereids are not an exemption. Most people don’t even think they know about them…unless you’re a Greek mythology geek, anyone? Just us? Ok. In any case, you’re in for a treat.
According to The Theoi Projet –a site exploring Greek mythology- “the Nereids were fifty sea-nymph daughters of Nereus, the old man of the sea. They were goddesses of the sea's rich bounty and protectors of sailors and fishermen, coming to the aid of those in distress. Individually they represented various facets of the sea from the salty brine to the sea foam, sand, rocks, waves, and currents, as well as the various skills possessed by seamen. So if you haven’t guessed by now, Ariel (the little mermaid), and all those sisters she had in the Disney movie are descendants of the Nereides since King Triton was the son of Poseidon and Amphitrite (one of Nereus' fifty daughters).

Nymphs are associated with fertility and creation across Greek Mythology, so it would make sense to call Nereids protectors of the sea as was Poseidon. But their meaning is broader since they are attributed to the task of preserving the ocean and all its creatures.
This is why they are so relevant for Jason Hyde, and why we’ve decides to name the new collection after them: Nereida (as is their name in Spanish) the new collection is beautiful and righteous and it's born from our intrinsic desire to preserve our oceans.
Inside our Nereida collection, you’ll find necklaces and bracelets that compliment your beauty and serve as a statement of how proud you are about having an ecological identity.
We can’t quote him on this but maybe Chronos would say, let’s stop wasting time and check out the Nereida collection.
